As a self-employed sub-contractor under CIS, we will verify your UTR number with HMRC to match up against your records and deduct the standard rate of 20% tax, or if not matched up, then the higher tax rate of 30% will apply. We will pay deductions of tax over to HMRC on your behalf.
You will be responsible for paying your Class 2 NI contributions directly to HMRC which can be done via Direct Debit and you will also be responsible for submitting a self-assessment or tax return, at tax year end.
You are engaged on a contract for services, we refer you to these terms (see attachments) as these will apply at all times on your self-employed engagement.
Please be aware that the terms of self-employment mean that you are NOT entitled to any employment benefits including:
IMPORTANT: If you feel that your employment status should not be self-employed in your current role and/or you are under the wrong pay model, please notify your agency/end client and ourselves immediately.
NOTE: If you receive an SMS text message with your pay amount, it means that your wage has been processed and on it's way to your account.
