Introducing Lighthouse
Cutting through the fog for a clearer view of payroll - Lighthouse is our secure transparency portal to help with JSL.
What is Lighthouse?
Lighthouse is our secure transparency portal, powered by our payroll software provider, Octopaye.
It provides a clear, read-only window into our payroll system, giving agencies direct visibility of key payroll information without the need to chase or request documents.
It’s designed to give confidence across the supply chain - combining transparency, traceability and a clear audit trail in one place.
Why this matters: the new storms ahead
With Joint and Several Liability (JSL) being introduced from April 2026, it’s more important than ever that every party in the temporary labour supply chain can demonstrate tax compliance in real-time, especially with greater focus on disguised remuneration schemes and shared tax obligations under the new rules.
Lighthouse supports this by making payroll processes, reporting and payments visible. Rather than relying on assurances or audit ‘badges’, you can see for yourself that workers are set up correctly, liabilities are calculated accurately and payments are made as they should be.
What’s in the window?
Lighthouse provides a read-only view of the information agencies most often need, including:
- Worker status – confirmation of whether workers are live and ready for payroll
- Key worker details – such as name, address, date of birth and National Insurance number
- Payslips – access to all payslips for all workers processed for you, available to view and download at any time
- Invoices – visibility of all invoices we’ve issued to you
- Payroll liabilities – clear breakdowns of PAYE tax, employee NIC, employer NIC and pension contributions
This removes delays, reduces back-and-forth dialogue, and ensures the right information is always available when you need it, 24/7.
From sums to settled - no gaps, no guessing
Lighthouse has been built to evidence each stage of the HMRC process, creating a clear and auditable trail:
- Calculate – total liability payable to HMRC is calculated and presented in a P32 report
- Submit – once funds are submitted, the HMRC receipt containing the IR mark is displayed
- Report – confirmation that liabilities have been reported correctly to HMRC
- Confirm – screenshots from our HMRC account and proof of payment are uploaded, showing funds have been received accurately
This end-to-end visibility helps agencies demonstrate due diligence and mitigates risk across the supply chain.
Getting the keys to the lighthouse

We’re also happy to arrange a demo or walkthrough, either in person or via Microsoft Teams, to talk you through the portal in more detail.
Clear as day. Solid as a rock
Lighthouse reflects our commitment to openness and accountability. It’s about showing how payroll is handled, not just saying it is – and giving you confidence now and as compliance expectations continue to increase.
