Each Contractor is deemed to be an employee of Orbital and is therefore entitled to employment benefits including holiday pay, as well as being able to claim legitimate business expenses on a weekly basis to offset against your taxable income.
The Umbrella system is often perceived to be complicated and confusing for contractors to work out, and likewise for some providers, who sometimes struggle to demonstrate a clear understanding of their own workings. Our approach is to have a transparent business model which shows a clear breakdown of the steps involved from Gross amount to Net pay.
We always adhere to the current legislation of the day e.g. In line with current guidelines and good practice, we save holiday pay for the time when a contractor wishes to take a holiday; this being based on an accrual of 12.07% of their actual earnings and not on National Minimum Wage as some providers seem to operate.
Our Umbrella payroll fees are:
£11 for earnings up to £299 gross
£15 for earnings above £300 gross
Our monthly fees are £25 for any gross amount
